Exciting times are afoot here at Asian Art Brief. We relocated 10 days ago from the UK to the Bay Area. Yes, that's California, USA. The sun is shining as I write this.
Regular readers might remember that I travelled to California in February of this year, when I enjoyed shows such as Seduction at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum and Xu Bing at LACMA. When I wrote those posts, I had not expected to be living here before the year was out, but I'm glad it turned out to be a preview of things to come.
I'm looking forward to continue writing about the Asian art I see, and the exhibitions and books that I enjoy. It's a shame that we left before Asian Art in London 2015 but I couldn't ask for a better location and I saw my first show at the weekend - post to follow shortly.
